JUST IN: GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES TRAVEL BAN FROM DECEMBER 21.

A curfew from December 21, 2020 to January 6, 2021 will be in place including a ban on travel between different region in Italy. This comes as Italy announced its highest daily covid-19 death toll since the pandemic started, with 993 facilities and has therefore outlined strict safety measures to curb the novel coronavirus in this Christmas. "We must eradicate the risk of a third wave which could arrive in January and not less serious the the first and second wave" Minister Giuseppe Conte stated. Restaurants are mandated to operate in some specific regions until 18:00, but only takeaway are allowed in other parts of the country whiles Ski slopes are to remain closed until January 7, 2021. There will be travel exceptions for work, medical reasons or emergencies but people will not be granted and warranted to leave their homes on Christmas day, Box Day and New Year Day.
