PRESIDENT AKUFFO ADDO SUSPENDS CEO OF THE PPA

Incumbent president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has terminated the contract of the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Adjenim Boateng Adjei. He was suspended following an investigative documentary by Manasseh Azure Awuni, which revealed a company he co-owned, has been selling government contracts it won through single-source and restrictive tendering, to the highest bidder. The President also directed the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) and the Office of the Special Prosecutor to investigate his appointee of conflict of interest and corruption. CHRAJ in its decision said Mr. Adjei put himself in several positions where his personal, relational and pecuniary interest in TDL and other companies actually conflicted with the performance of the functions of his office. GIRL SECRETLY HIDES A NEWBORN BABY IN FREEZER

A 14-year-old schoolgirl reportedly gave birth to a baby boy in secret and put him in her home freezer to die after she got pregnant for her ex-boyfriend. The girl, identified by Russian media as Anastasia, was taken to hospital after her mother became worried about her daughter after she heard her “moaning” throughout the night. Concerned her daughter was suffering from appendicitis, she called an ambulance, and the girl was found to be heavily bleeding. The chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Olayiwola Adeleke in southwest Nigeria, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Sunday night October 25, 2020. His kidnapp occured along the Okeho-Ado Awaye road on his way to meet with the state Governor, Seyi Makinde at Ibadan, the state capital. Oyo State Police Spokesman, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident, saying that efforts are being intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits. The Electoral Commission of Ghana has scheduled to begin with the printing of ballot papers today October 26, 2020. Miss Jean Mensah has therefore extended this to the 12 major Presidential Candidates for the 2020 elections and urged them to present their participants in printing the ballot papers at the seven designated printing houses specially selected in Accra. This is to help electorates for easy identification of Candidates during the time of voting on December 7, 2020. The Deputy Chairman encharge of cooperates in the Electoral Commission, Dr. Erick Boseman said, the ballot papers for the next elections will be shorter and concise as compared to this year's own if only an agreement is drawn among aspirants concerning the number of Candidates to appears on the ballot paper. This means the ballot paper for 2020 elections will be longer due to the number of Presidential Candidates who will appear on the paper.

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Stephen Owusu is reported dead at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on Saturday October 24, 2020. SCHWARZENEGGER UNDERGOES HEART SURGERY

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 73-year-old actor and former Republican governor of California, disclosed on social media on Friday October 23, 2020 that he had undergone heart surgery. This came to light in a post, which was shared by Schwarzenegger on both Instagram and Twitter that, he had his aortic valve replaced at the Cleveland Clinic medical center in Ohio. SECURITY ANALYSIST WARNS CITIZENS OVER PROLIFERATION OF GUNS IN GHANA.

A security analysist with the Africa Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, Paul Boateng, has hinted of possible gun clashes in Ghana. Per Mr. Boateng, Ghana has experience terrible chaotic scenes that have been recorded in other countries such as Mali. “Gun clashes began in Cote D'Ivoire, Sudan, Mali, now Nigeria is experiencing it, Guinea, and Burkina if care is not taken among us, it will happen in Ghana so we need to up our game against the proliferation of arms,” he said. The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Thursday, 22nd October 2020, commissioned the 64-kilometre (64km) Kete Krachi - Dodiokope Road Project, in the newly created Oti Region. This project was undertaken in three phases by Messrs First Sky Limited, at a total cost of GH¢156 million, and was funded by COCOBOD, with the Ghana Highway Authority serving as the implementing agency and supervising consultant. The project was originally programmed for completion in 24 calendar months at a combined contract sum of GH¢176.5 million. MINISTER WARN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS AGAINST INCREASING OF FEES

The Minister of State in charge of Tertiary Education, Prof. Kwesi Yankah, has ordered the management of the various public universities not to increase school fees for the 2020/2021 academic year. Prof. Yankah made this clear when speaking to Citi News on the sidelines of the “Transforming Teacher Education and Learning Program” by the National Council for Education. "The recurrent increase in fees is worrying" He stated. He said, he was rather surprised and abhorred about the arbitrary increases which appear to be recurrent almost every year and hence, any increase in fees without parliamentary approval would be unlawful. The congregants of the Church of Prosperity, numbering more than 60, had converged on the church premises to pray and fast for their founder, who had been taken ill.  More than 30 of the worshipers have been rescued from the rubble but some 20 others are feared trapped. MY HEART WEEPS FOR NIGERIA AS A DEADLY PROTEST IS MOUNTED AGAINST BUHARI

A deadly protest against Buhari's bad governance has led to hundreds and thousands of Nigeria citizens in great Phobia.   Many have lost their lives and some in Erotica and consequencial injurious state.Lagos state(Nigeria) government has confirmed that at least 28 people were injured in the Tuesday night chaos.  Amnesty International said several protesters were killed in the shooting. Social media users have been sharing videos showing gunshots during at the protest site long into the night.  According to investigations,they counted 20 dead bodies and saw dozens of injured people swimming in a pool of blood.  There are unconfirmed reports that surveillance cameras and lights were disabled at a toll gate near where the protests were taking place.  Any other investigations will be done to deliver to you any matters that comes out. CHURCH STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSES ON CONGREGANTS.

On Tuesday October 20, 2020, a three-storey church building belonging to the Church of Promise (COP)has collapsed at Akyem Batabi in the Eastern Region resulting to one death and many injured Graphic Online's correspondent in the area, Samuel Kyei-Boateng reports that about 65 worshippers were in the building at the time of the collapse. Four people, as of 4:30 pm had been rescued. One dead body has also been retrieved from the wreckage.  A buldozer has been on site trying to move the wreckage so that lives could be saved.  According to Kyei-Boateng, the voices of those trapped inside could be heard with some screaming for help.

Asiekpe, a town and also a termal point of supplying electricity under the Volta regional locality has lost its power leaving the residents in a total darkness on Monday, October 19, 2020. Ghana international, Jordan Ayew has tested positive for Coronavirus after Crystal Palace’s manager, Roy Hodgson confirmed the news on Sunday October 18, 2020. Hodgson revealed this to journalists following Palace’s 1-1 draw with Brighton in the Premier League.  Ayew, 29, did not make the team for the clash against Brighton and it seems his positive test for COVID-19 is the reason behind his omission from the team list.
