ASANTE KOTOTO STRIKER CONFIRMED DEAD



Former Asante Kotoko striker, Stephen Owusu is reported dead at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on Saturday October 24, 2020.


This sudden and sadistic incident occurred after struggling with a long illness which made his return to Ghana for medical treatment whiles playing for Kenyan club, Nairobi Stima.

37-year-old Stephen, started his football career at Prestea Mine Stars somewhere 2001 in Ghana before joining Asante Kotoko a year later until 2005 where Heart of Lions also snatched him from 2006 to 2010, a period of four years and was shipped on a heavy loan to Tunisia outfit, Esperance Tunis.


Prior to this, Owusu also played for Nigerian outfit Sharks FC and Ghanaian side Aduana Stars FC before leaving to continue his career in Kenya to feature for Tusker FC and Nairobi Stima.
