BETTING COMPANIES BANNED IN GHANA!!!

The Gaming Commission of Ghana has put a strict ban on betting companies from using celebrities in their advertisement.

The Commission stressed that, by endorsing better companies, celebrities are likely to influence minors as a result of their large followings and followers on the various Social media handles.

Majority of Ghanaian actors/actresses, and artists such as Shatta Wale, Wendy Shay, KiDi, Salma Mumin, Lilwin and Moesha Boudoung we're recently signed as ambassadors of Bet Planet in the country.

According to the Gaming Commission, the purpose of these guidelines is to ensure a responsible manner of advertisement conducted by operators to minimise the exposure to minors where applicable in the society and hence, will act as a guide to operators in all their advertising and advertisement.

This comes after the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) earlier banned Celebrities from being used in advertisement of alcoholic beverages.
