CORONAVIRUS: MP CALLS FOR RE-CLOSURE OF SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES.
The papable member of parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has ordered for the closure of schools and churches following the high inflation rate of covid-19 cases in the country.
This he said, will help curb the brisk spread of the Coronavirus.
Many institutions, in collaboration with child rights activists, have called on the government to shut down schools after recording unbearable number of covid-19 cases in some schools especially among children.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye at a press conference on Monday, February 8, 2021 disclosed that, for about 146 school children have contacted the novel virus but are undergoing medical treatment and are doing well.
As of Monday, February 8, 2021, the confirmed cases in Ghana stands at 1,560.
