JUST IN: GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES DENOUNCE TO GO ON STRIKE DUE TO THE ALLAYMENT OF MONTHLY WAGES
Report reaching EmilyNews.Hub indicates that labourers who were employed by government to work on the recent cashew farm at Bejamse announce to vacate from work after labouring from October 2020 to February 2021 without payment.
The labourers of this notable community under the Oti Region of Ghana has been crying out for the government as well as the food and planting authority to have apathy and also temper justice with mercy to release their fund as promised.
Meanwhile, the food and planting authority together with the labourers in 2020, concurred to receive an amount of GHC 360.00 each as monthly wages untill the contract is over but rather unfortunately, they couldn't meet exactly what was expected and has therefore resulted to work retardation whiles many aged are left in severe ailment due to the hard labour (Clearing of immoderate bush and filling holes with mortar) by both the old men and women.
The Officer in charge of the public cashew farm at Bejamse, Mr. Ayuri Evans in collaboration with the Assemblyman of Bejamse, Mr Anane Quebah Kizito has assured their papable labourers to stay calm and continue to work vigorously and at the shortest possible time, their fund will be released accordingly.
Payment of the monthly wages by agreement, was supposed to begin right from October 2020 but none has received a penny ever since they were engaged in the farming activity.
